FBI has declared three Iranian wanted over cyber crimes.
The hackers who were declared wanted by the FBI specializes on computer intrusions, identity theft, and wire fraud.
According to the statement by the agency on, Pourkarim Arabi, Mohammad Reza Espargham, and Mohammad Bayati are the three Iranian hackers who allegedly conspired and stole data from U.S. aerospace and Satellite Tracking Companies.
With the instructions from the Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the three hackers engaged in a coordinated campaign of social engineering that resulted in the theft of United States citizens’ identities, which they then used to steal critical information related to American Aerospace and Satellite Technology and Resources, including sensitive commercial information, intellectual property, and personal data.
The United States District Court has on Tuesday September 15, 2020, indicted the three men on charges of Conspiracy to Commit Computer Intrusions, Obtaining Information by Unauthorized Access to Protected Computers, Intentional Damage to Protected Computers, Aggravated Identity Theft, and Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud, and federal arrest warrants were issued.
This is the latest escalation, amid the heightened political tensions between the countries.
The problems between the wo countries started since after U.S. President Trump pulled out from the 2015 nuclear deal.
