Not long ago, a couple went viral on social media after the man was captured proposing to the love of his life on bended knees, at the KFC restaurant in Vaal South Africa.
That lovely moment was filmed by a passerby who immediately posted the video on social media.

However, several internet bullies including a certain class conscious female journalist identified as Anele, dragged the man down, referring to him as a broke and classless person.
“SA [South African] men are so broke they even propose at KFC. They have absolutely no class, I mean who proposes at KFC,” Anele wrote on Twitter
Though the viral tweet has been taken down and the person behind it made their account private. However, the mockery turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as it generated lots of attention from many well meaning people.
Numerous global brands including Huawei, PUMA, McDonald’s, Uber, Standard Bank, Audi and many others offered to sponsor their wedding both financially and materially.
Standard Bank gave the couple a sum of 300,000 Rand (over $20,000), PUMA donated 10,000 Rand (approximately $680), Huawei gifted two of their costly phones. They also received groceries worth more than $1,300.
It happened that every single thing that was needed for the wedding, the cake, dress, transport, groceries, hotel and even the wedding ring was taken care of by the public.
The two lovebirds had one of the most classic and expensive weddings in South Africa of recent. Check out an amazing clip from their wedding below:
