Nigerian Singer and DMW Boss David Adeleke a.k.a Davido has joined other celebrities in condemning the continuous detention of fast rising singer Omah Lay, Tems and Muyiwa.
Recall that Newsblenda on sunday reported the arrests of Omah Lay by authorities in Uganda for allegedly violating the country’s Covid-19 protocols.
Reacting to the news of their continuous detention, Davido took to his twitter account to slam the Uganda police, he wrote;
Omo this Ugandan P, how can we help? What can we do? Artists just tryna eat! They didn’t bargain for this🤦🏾♂️ @PoliceUg !!!!! BIG CAP!!
His reaction came hours after the Uganda police released a statement, saying that the Nigerian trio will not be granted bail until Wednesday 16th December 2020.
According to the statement, the earlier plans of releasing them on police bond, were suspended after their casefile was sanctioned by the Office of the DPP.
They are charged for Negligently doing acts likely to spread an infectious diseases C/S 171 of the Penal Code Act.
