A british man, a diplomat has been hailed a hero in China after he jumped into a river to save a drowning woman.
In a video which has since gone viral on social media, captures the moment consul Stephen jumped into the floating water and saved a Chinese woman student who is first seen floating face down and apparently drowning.

This man act of bravery has been well received by the Chinese people and among the people praising him is the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian.
“I want to give him a big thumbs up,” Zhao said. Meanwhile, British Foreign Minister Dominic Raab said the 61-year-old Ellison had demonstrated the “very best of British diplomats around the world.”
