Buhari’s personal assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad has pointed out a good reason why he thinks the President is not what people paint him to be.

Mr. Bashir noted in one of his recent tweets that the popular belief that President Muhammadu Buhari hates the Igbos (Southern tribe of Nigeria) and does not believe in women’s capacity, does not hold water.

He claim the President wanted to make an Igbo woman his Vice back in 2011, but she rejected the offer.

“Those who have been painting the President black and keep pushing a narrative that he hates Igbo and also doesn’t believe in women’s capacity are now telling us a different story, the story is that as far back as 2011, he wanted an Igbo and a woman to be his VP, but she REJECTED,” Bashir stated on Twitter

Though he did not mention any name, but he obviously was referring to the former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili.

According to PM News Mrs. Ezekwesili recently admitted that her senior pastor, Tunde Bakare was right in saying she rejected being a Vice President.
