U.S. rapper 50 Cent has accused Lil Wayne of collecting money for his Trump Endorsement.
Recall that Lil Wayne made headlines late October when publicly he publicly endorse the incumbent president Donald Trump.
He also shared a photo of himself meeting the Republican leader online, giving Trump the thumbs up for his criminal justice reform attempts.
Now 50 Cent is “sure” Lil Wayne didn’t support Trump just because of his love for him or his policies but he was paid to support Donald Trump ahead of the election.
50 Cent made the accusations during an interview on New York radio show The Breakfast Club on Tuesday, claiming he was also approached by campaign bosses to back Trump publicly, in exchange for a hefty fee.
According to 50 Cent, Lil Wayne joined forces with the the republican side only to boost his bank account.
50 Cent further revealed that he also got the same offer to join the Trump team.
in his words 50 Cent said;
“(They were) offering me a million dollars to come to Trump’s inauguration, right? I passed on it,” he said.
“(It was) $500,000, and then it went up to $1 million while I was still confused with whether I should do it,” he went on.
At the end 50 decided to turn the lucrative offer down, because he knew Trump was only interested in attempting to secure votes from the African-American community:
“He participated with different artists and s**t like that for the black vote… And I’m going, ‘Nah, I ain’t gone put myself in that position,’ ’cause I didn’t know what I was got to do to recover from it, right? To be honest with you.”
