Brazilian forward Neymar Jr. has finally agreed a contract extension with Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain until 2025.
The 29-year-old forward decided to end the long speculations about his future by penning a new deal which will keep him in Paris for the next four years.
Neymar has often been a subject of various transfer rumours especially since his former club Barcelona FC showed interest in bringing him back to the Nou Camp. They however declined as a result of his heavy transfer clause.
It wasn’t really surprising though to see him sign a new deal as he has looked increasingly settled at Paris Saint Germain.

He also made it clear after signing the contract, that he’s happy in Paris;
“I’m really pleased to continue my adventure at Paris Saint-Germain,” Neymar said in a club statement.
“I’m very happy in Paris, and proud to be part of this squad, to work with these players, a great coach and to be part of the history of this club.”
Meanwhile, for the fact that Neymar extended his contract till 2025, it implies the following:
No Messi reunion
The long anticipated reunion between the Brazilian and Lionel Messi in Camp Nou will likely never happen. Messi is already 33 years and may decide to hang his magnificent boots before that year.
May miss out on the Champions League
PSG seem to have something that prevents them from lifting the Champions League trophy no matter how hard they try. If they are not able to solve this problem before 2025, Neymar Jr. may get tired searching for his second trophy.
