The effects gotten from heredity cannot be influenced much but those of the environment can easily be influenced.

Some of the factors that affect one’s personality include:
1. Physical factor: Some physical changes that take place in people’s life have same patterns but do not take place in the same way in their physical appearances and this may be related to some genes which these individuals inherited from their parents.
2. Moral factor: The kind of moral influence a person gets from different places also help in shaping one’s personality. These moral influences can come from the family, school or church.
3. Personal experiences: An individual’s personal experiences also help in the personality development of such an individual. These experiences can be pleasurable or unpleasurable, and they will negatively or positively affect the personality development of such an individual.
