Popular human right activist and lawyer Bemigho Reno Omokri has challenged President Muhammadu Buhari and his corulers to go ahead and punish some prominent Nigerian clergymen for violating the Twitter ban.

President Muhammadu Buhari announced on Friday May 4, 2021, through his minister of information, that the use of Twitter has been suspended indefinitely in Nigeria.

The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami further threatened to prosecute anyone found using the platform from the moment the ban was placed.

However, some Nigeria’s clergymen including four prominent ones among them have taken to Twitter to explain the reason why they need to be tweeting.

“The Redeemed Christian Church of God is domiciled in more than 170 Nations & Territories. The tweets here are in accordance to Article 19 of the UN universal declaration of Human Rights,” Pastor Adeboye wrote.

Following their tweets, Reno Omokri, a strong opposer of the Buhari led administration challenged Malami to do his worst by prosecuting those clergymen.

He wrote:

Pastor Adeboye has tweeted, Pastor Kumuyi has tweeted, Bisho Oyedepo had tweeted, Apostle Suleman has tweeted.
We wait for Malami to arrest them. He will know the difference between the pastor in Aso Rock and the ones on Christ the Solid Rock.
