The Better Nigeria Movement, a group, has requested President Bola Tinubu to endorse Sani Jaji, a lawmaker from Zamfara State, as the Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives during the upcoming National Assembly inauguration.The group considers Jaji to be one of the most qualified candidates for the position.
According to the group’s statement released in Abuja on Wednesday, Jaji has been a long-standing supporter of Tinubu and played a significant role in his campaign.
The group believes that the All Progressives Congress should choose Jaji as he hails from the same state as Yari, emphasizing that it would not be in the nation’s best interest to have another Muslim as the Senate President, considering that the President and Vice-President are already Muslims.
