International Society for Civil Liberties charges Anambra SARS for homicide

The International Society for Civil Liberties & the Rule of Law or Intersociety for Civil Liberties & the Rule of Law has formerly accused the Special Anti Robbery Squad of the Anambra State Police command of causing the death of about 35 persons in the state.

According to a report released by the non-governmental organisation on Friday in Awka, the police unit allegedly killed and dumped the corpses of about 35 persons in the Ezu River, Amansea Anambra State, in 2013.

In a video report by Channels TV, the civil rights group highlighted the need to checkmate the activities of SARS, following their continued killing of Nigerian youths in the name of fighting crime.

The report was entitled ‘The Untold Story Of Ezu River Police SARS Killings’.
