Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom Tells Federal Government to Declare Miyetti Allah as Terrorist Group

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom asked the Federal Government to declare Miyetti Allah and one Fulani group as terrorists.

Mr Samuel Ortom in reaction to the Federal Government specification of calling bandits terrorists. He opted that Miyetti Allah Kautal Hire, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) and Fulani Nationality movement (FUNAM).

According to a statement signed by Ortom’s spokesperson, Nathaniel Ikyur, on January 6, 2022, Mr Samuel Ortom said that labelling bandits as a terrorist group are not enough.

For the governor, even though the Federal Government measures on bandits seem strong, insecurity will be full of the same treatment is not taken on MACBAN and FUNAM.

He maintained that Benue State will not tolerate any grazing routes, reserves or any area whatever. He claimed that the declaration was made in good faith for peace and order in the State.

Ortom also added that Nigerians are suffering in the hands of APC misrule. He urged Nigerians to support PDP, saying that the opposition party is ready to rescue Nigeria from insecurity and economic horror placed on Nigerians by APC.
