On Saturday, a motor accident occurred near the Isheagu junction area of the Ogwashi-Uku/Kwale Road in Delta State, resulting in the loss of lives of at least three individuals.
The accident involved a GLK SUV and a bus belonging to St. Philip’s Anglican Church in Asaba. The State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, who was en route to Kwale for an assignment, halted his convoy at the accident site around 2.45 pm.
The Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) officials were responsible for evacuating the deceased individuals. The survivors of the accident were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Later, after observing that the FRSC officials had taken control of the situation and no victims remained requiring assistance, Onyeme departed from the scene. Mr. Udeme Bassey Eshiet, the Sector Commander of FRSC in Delta State, confirmed the incident when contacted.
