Anglican Bishop and wife have been kidnapped along Ogbomoso/Oyo Road.
The Bishop of Jebba, Rt. Rev. Oluwaseun Aderogba, and his wife were kidnapped on their way to Oyo.
The Bishop’s Chaplain eji was with the victims when the incident happened and narrated the ordeal.
He reported that they were traveling from Jebba to Oyo, a few minutes to their destination, their car got faulty and the Bishop called the Bishop of Oyo to seek assistance.
But before they could get help, some armed men surrounded them and ordered them to get into the bush. The chaplain said that he was not seen by the armed men because of his black cassock.

In defense, he had to lie on his belly while the Bishop and wife were marched into the forest.
The Bishop of Oyo, Bishop Aladekugbe alerted the leadership of the Church, Most Rev’d Henry Ndukauba and the members of the House of Bishops.
It took hours before they could hear from the victims, and the kidnapped are demanding ₦50 Million.
