Afrobeat music icon Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has reacted to the recent ban of Twitter by Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Nigerian government under the tutelage of President Buhari, on Friday May 4, 2021, announced that it has “indefinitely suspended” the use of Twitter in the entire country.

That spontaneous action has generated many unfavourable reactions from well-meaning people including popular celebrities.

Twitter Ban: Desmond Elliot lends his voice for Nigerian youths.

Rudeboy has waited until today to voice out his frustration over that unpopular decision. He wrote via his Instagram page: “Been Singing thunder fire you for 3 days now.”

Funny enough the song Rudeboy said he has been singing since three days was a song the artist, Ric Hassani, said the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has banned.

That of course explains the height of the singer’s frustration.
