The report also has it that Martinez has recently turned down advances from Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, stating that he will either move to Catalonia or remain with Inter Milan.
However, Martinez deal would not come cheap as the Italian giants already placed a massive €111 million release clause on his head. Barcelona on the other hand do not want to pay anywhere near as much as that. They would instead do a player(s) plus cash deal for him.
It is now left to be known if both clubs would try to strike an agreement based on this new development.
According to reports, the players that could be used for the deal includes Arturo Vidal, Nelson Semedo, Junior Firpo and Jean-Clair Todibo.
