According to a report by The Guardian, Bachchan 77, confirmed via his social media pages that he has tested positive for the virus and is hospitalised in Mumbai, India.
He said his family and staff have also undergone tests and are awaiting results. But also appealed to all who have been in contact with him for the past 10 days to get themselves tested.
He wrote on Instagram:
“This evening I tested positive for COVID 19 .. have been shifted to Hospital .. authorities informed .. family and staff tested results awaited .. all those that came in close proximity to me in the last 10 days please get yourself tested”

It has also been confirmed that Bachchan’s 44-year-old-son Abhishek, has tested positive for the virus, and have already joined his father in the hospital.
Abhishek, who is also an actor, confirmed the news via Twitter, but urged his fans not to panic.
“Both of us having mild symptoms. I request all to stay calm and not panic,” he wrote.
It’s quite a sad news but, we wish them a speedy recovery.
