Famous Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has penned an emotional poem in honour of health officials who are giving their best in the fight against Covid-19.
The 77-year-old veteran actor, who is currently hoptialised with coronavirus, took to his Twitter to share a gratitude poem for medical staff.
He wrote:
“Pristine white their layered dress; dedicated to serve they be; god like incarnations they; companions of the sufferer they; erased they their ego have; to us they have embraced in care; they be the divine destination; they fly the flags of humanity.”
Bachchan confirmed via his social media pages on Sunday that he has tested positive for the virus and is hospitalised in Mumbai, as reported by Newsblenda.
His son Abhishek, daughter-in-law, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and granddaughter Aaradhya also tested positive for coronavirus earlier this week.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson from the hospital told PTI, that both Amitabh Bachchan and son are responding well to treatment and may likely recover in the next few days.
“Both are stable and are responding well to the treatment. They will have to be in the hospital for at least seven days,” the spokesman stated.
