Finally in less than 24 hours, the United States of America will start the emergency use of the world first approved Covid-19 vaccine, effective at preventing a disease that has killed nearly 300,000 Americans.
The US commander in chief of the armed forces on Friday announced the shipment of 200 million doses of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID‑19 vaccine to all the states across the country.
This is coming hours after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the the emergency use of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID‑19 vaccine across the United States.
The vaccine, made by Pfizer and its partner BioNTech is believed to be at least 95% effective in blocking the symptoms of the virus and has shown no risk in people at the age of 16 and older.
Trump described the vaccine as nothing short of miracles because it was produced at a record short time against the projected date which is one year.
The president hailed the vaccine as “one of the greatest scientific accomplishments in history.”

Cutting-edge science and extraordinary funding helped compress that timeline, leading to a vaccine, according to the president, his administration has spent over $40Billion to hasten the time to a record nine months against the projected one year date.
On behalf of the American people I will like to thank all of the brilliant scientists, technicians, doctors and workers who made this all possible, Trump said.
