Spanish football giants Barcelona FC has been named the world’s football club of the decade.
The LaLiga outfit was conferred with the title by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) on Tuesday.
“FC Barcelona won the CLUB WORLD RANKINGS of the First Decade (2001-2010) and also of the second Decade (2011-2020),” IFFHS said in a statement.
The Catalan club have been excellent over the past decade winning 3 FIFA Club World Cups, 5 UEFA Champions League titles, 5 UEFA Super Cups and 26 La Liga titles.

Barcelona topped the list with 2,877 points, while Real Madrid and Bayern Munich ranked 2nd and 3rd with 2,782 and 2,594 points, respectively.

Other clubs that occupied the rest of the top ten positions includes Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and are Arsenal.
