Chelsea is said to have initiated discussions with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) regarding a potential transfer deal for Neymar in the upcoming summer.

The Brazilian footballer may be close to departing from the Ligue 1 champions, especially with the imminent departure of his friend and teammate, Lionel Messi.

Neymar had a challenging season with PSG, with his campaign being cut short in February due to an ankle injury. In his limited appearances, the 32-year-old managed to score 18 goals and provide 17 assists for the Parisian club.

This situation has further intensified the dissatisfaction of PSG fans towards Neymar, as he has failed to meet their expectations and has become a subject of criticism.

While it was previously reported that Manchester United and Newcastle were interested in bringing Neymar to England, Chelsea has now entered the picture and has started negotiations with PSG, as per Le10 Sport.

Mauricio Pochettino, the new manager of Chelsea, is reportedly keen on reuniting with Neymar, having previously worked with him during his tenure at PSG in the 2021-22 season.
