Popular Afro-beat singer David Adeleke also known as Davido has scheduled a meeting with the Inspector General of the Nigerian police (IGP) tomorrow in Abuja.
The 27-year-old singer took to his social media pages to invite his colleagues to join him in the meeting before 10 a.m. tomorrow.
He wrote on Instagram:
“I am meeting with the Inspector General of police tomorrow 10 am…all my colleagues if U can get to Abuja 2morrow before 10 am and follow me to the meeting! It would mean a lot.”

Davido has been at the forefront of the massive campaign against the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of Nigeria.

Now that the unit has finally been dissolved, it seems that Davido is meeting with the IGP so as to table the five recent demands of the masses. Those which includes:
1. Immediate release of arrested protesters2. Justice for all deceased victims of police brutality and appropriate compensation for their families.
3. Setting up an independent body to oversee the investigation and prosecution of all reports of police misconduct.
