Almost 250 million Americans and Canadians are feeling the icy effect of the massive Winter storm.
The winter storm has been linked to several deaths in the United States. Most of these death reports are a result of lost vehicle control while driving and fatal crashes.
Since Thursday, more than 1.5 million people have been without power and thousands of flights have been canceled.
Yesterday, The flight-tracking FlightAware recorded 5,900 canceled flights. While in WestJet alone, 266 flights were canceled.

According to BBC, much rest of the country from British Columbia to Newfoundland has been under extreme cold and winter storms.
There have also been reports of heavy snowfall in areas of Pennsylvania and Michigan.
The storm did not only restrict air travel but land travel too as some areas are being affected by the flood.
Also, some major areas in the City of Des Moines are at risk of frostbite. Frostbite is an injury caused by the freezing of the skin. Its symptoms include cold skin, discolored skin, or numbness.
With the case of winter storms in the United States, Florida is projected to see its coldest Christmas in 30 years.
