Breaking News: Sunday Igboho Regains His Freedom
Incarcerated Yoruba nation agitator Chief Sunday Adeyemo a.k.a Sunday Igboho has reportedly been released from Cotonou, Benin Republic detention today.
Igboho and his wife, Ropo, were arrested on Monday, July 19, 2021, by the International Criminal Police Organisation at the Cadjèhoun Airport in Cotonou, the Republic of Benin on their way to Germany.

He was trying to avoid being arrested by officials of the Nigerian Department of State Services, which had declared him wanted.
While the wife was later released, Igboho was further detained for breaching the country’s immigration laws.

According to to report from Sahara Reporters, the Yoruba Nation agitator has now regain his freedom, he was released to renowned Yoruba historian, Prof Banji Akintoye.
The umbrella body of Yoruba self-determination groups, Ilana Omo Oodua, confirmed this in a press release on Monday.
