NDLEA (National Drug Law Enforcement Agency), filed an eight-count criminal charge against Abba kyari, a suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, and Six other men for allegedly involving in Drug trafficking.
The others involved in the crime were four members of the Police Intelligence Response Team, as well as two alleged drug traffickers that were apprehended at Akanu Ibiam Airport, Enugu.
The charge against the suspects was specifically on conspiracy, obstruction, and dealing in cocaine worth over 17 kilograms. They were also allegedly accused of unlawfully tampering with 21.25 Kilograms worth of cocaine.
The charge against Abba kyari came barely twenty-four hours after the Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami granted a request for Abba kyari to be extradited to the United States of America to face a trial for involvement with an internet fraudster, Ramon Olorunwa Abbas (Hushpuppi) for over $1.1 million fraud.
