Simon Harry, Nigeria’s Statistician-General of the Federation has been reported dead.
According to Business day, NBS spokesperson, Ichedi Joel confirmed the news of Harry’s death.

Another NBS staff who pleaded anonymously, reported that Harry died in a hospital in Abuja and has been on life support.
The rumor of his death had first gone around at weekend but was debunked by NBS in a statement issued by Joel on Sunday.

Simon Harry was appointed as the new Statistician-General of the federation to head the National Bureau of Statistics on August 26, 2021, by President Muhammad Buhari.
Harry is said to have made contributions to several region initiatives, including the reformation of the Federal office of Statistics which transferred to the current National Bureau of Statistics.
