The Federation Accountant-General, Ahmed Idris has been suspended indefinitely for over 80 Billion Naira fraud.
Ahmed was suspended by the Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed on Wednesday through a letter which also stated that his suspension is without pay.

This was following his indictment for fraud worth 80 Billion Naira by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Ahmed Idris was earlier arrested by EFCC on Monday after he failed to honor the invitation by the EFCC.
He has also been barred from visiting his office or contacting any official in his office within this period, this is to ensure proper and unhindered Investigation.
