For some time now, Nigerians have been expectant of the redesigned Naira notes which will be taking over the economy.
On Wednesday, 23 November, The Central Bank of Nigerian Governor, Godwin Emefiele unveiled the new currency before the Federal Executive Council meeting in the State House, Abuja.
This makes it the first time in 19 years that Nigeria will be going through the process of redesigning naira notes.
The CBN governor, Godwin Ifeanyi Emefiele stated that the Central Bank of Nigeria will scrutinize the process of cash withdrawals.
CBN also revealed plans of redesigning notes after every 5-8 years.
