Rumor has it that Emdee Tiamiyu allegedly filed for asylum after his video went viral, he collected the money and came back to Nigeria to build a house for himself. Recall that the Nigerian YouTuber went viral over the statement he made on why Nigerians migrate to UK.

Meanwhile, some netizens feels that this story doesn’t add up since one can’t be refused for an extended study visa and immediately switch to become an asylum seeker and eventually get a positive answer.
According to them, the Uk and other western world countries doesn’t work like that. A positive asylum case always takes a period of time before it could be decided.
