UK based Nigerian Journalist and TV show host Osasu Igbinedion has courageously slammed a Lawmaker over his comments in a live interview.
Osasu, the chief executive officer of TOS TV Network and Andy Madaki engaged Honourable Ben Igbakpa (Member representing the Ethiope constituency Delta State) in an interview concerning the recent Twitter suspension.
Hon. Ben was asked why the President had to ban the use of Twitter in Nigeria, and his response was that the order came from the Presidency and not the President.
According to the Honourable, the Presidency is different from the President. He said “most times when the Presidency is speaking, it is Garba Shehu” or the Minister of Information and Culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
His comments didn’t sound convincing enough for the host, who fearlessly called out the Legislators for failing at their duties to institute democracy in the country. She told the honourable, “that is utter rubbish”.
