The Nigeria INEC-Independent National Electoral Commission has announced that a total of 1,854,859 PVCs-Permanent Voter’s Cards are now available to be provided to its state headquarters across the nation during the Easter holiday for successive collection.
Professor Mahmood Yakubu, the INEC Chairman on Wednesday (April 13), in Abuja, announced this while briefing news correspondents on the constant voter registration activity, saying the Permanent Voter’s Cards will be accessible for collection by the original owners in person instantly after Easter holidays.
Yakubu emphasized that no Voters Card will be collected by a representative.

Electoral Commission repeated that the functional cards only encircle those who registered in the initial; first and second sections of the exercise.
He also ascertained that those who registered between January and March this year as well as those who are presently doing so, their (PVCs) will be available for collection long before the forthcoming election.
He explained, “After finalizing the data clean up, the body has published 3 million Voters Cards for actual fresh registrants.
“In addition, 464,340 PVCs for verified applicants for replacement or transfer of cards have also been published. Accordingly, a total of (1,854,859 PVCs) are now available.”
