Peter Obi urges supporters to vote humans and not brooms

The Labor Party presidential candidate has urged supporters to vote for humans and not brooms in the forthcoming general elections.

The former Anambra State Governor said this during his Presidential Campaign rally at Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Lagos State.

Obi emphasized that people had voted “brooms and Umbrellas” in the past but they didn’t work. Now he urged his supporters to vote “human beings.”

Without much explanation, Peter Obi was obviously taking about the All Progressive Congress (APC) whose party logo is broom, and People’s Democratic party (PDP) whose party symbol is Umbrella.

He said that PDP has put Nigerians into poverty while broom took them to poverty.

Speaking further, Obi said, “You voted for broom, it didn’t work, you voted for umbrella, it didn’t work, we now want you to vote for human beings.”
