Over Hundreds Of Secondary School Students Abducted In Kastina State After Armed Bandit Reportedly Invaded A Community

Suspected armed bandit reportedly invaded a government secondary school in Kastina state, killing a security guard and kidnapping some students, according Sahara reports.

According to the reports, the armed bandits stormed the Government Science Secondary School in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State at about 10:45 pm on Friday, shooting sporadically for over an hour.On the process a security man was shot dead while over hundreds of school children were abducted.

There was tension in the community as Parents and guardians immediately rushed to the school after the incident to find their wards missing and no where to be found.

Kastina state which happens to be home state of the president of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari, alongside other neighbouring states, has over the last two to three years, faced devastating attacks from armed bandits. Banditry, which includes armed robbery, murder, rape, and cattle-rustling.
