Microsoft want to help Trump buy TikTok within 45 days

According to a report by TMZ, Microsoft are trying to make TikTok an U.S. based company on the heels of the Trump administration’s security concerns about the app.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said he had a chat with President Trump about acquiring the trendy social media application for the United States.

He reportedly stated:

“Microsoft fully appreciates the importance of addressing the President’s concerns.

“It is committed to acquiring TikTok subject to a complete security review and providing proper economic benefits to the United States, including the United States Treasury.”

The software company further made their intentions known to the public in an announcement made on Sunday via it’s social media page.

Reuters have confirmed that President Trump agreed to give it’s parent company ByteDance 45 days to strike a deal with Microsoft Corp.

Meanwhile, Trump initially intended to ban the app from the United States, amid it’s security concerns.

But Microsoft has assured that “world class security, privacy, and digital safety protections” would be added to TikTok if a deal is struck.
