The Methodist Church Prelate, His Eminence Samuel Kanu-Uche was reportedly kidnapped together with two other priests along the Umunneochi Local Government area.
The two other priests are the Bishop of Owerri and the Prelate’s Chaplain.
The incident happened when they were returning from a program in the Council area.

The monetary demand was confirmed by the Secretary of the conference, Rt. Revd. Michael Akinwale released a statement on Monday appealing to parishioners to contribute their quota to raise the ransom.
