Manchester United has identified two players, Eric Bailly and Alex Telles, as individuals they are eager to sell during the upcoming summer transfer window. According to the Manchester Evening News, the club has deemed both players surplus to requirements as they aim to construct a strong squad for the following season under the guidance of Erik ten Hag.

Alex Telles, aged 30, spent the previous season on loan at Seville, where he achieved success by winning the Europa League. However, he currently sits behind Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia in the left-back hierarchy, making him expendable in United’s plans.

On the other hand, Eric Bailly experienced a season riddled with injuries while on loan at Marseille, limiting his appearances for the French side to just 23 matches. With his fitness concerns and a desire to bolster their defensive options, United has decided to part ways with the player.

Although making the decision to offload such players may appear straightforward, Manchester United might face difficulties in finding suitable buyers for them. In addition to the potential departures of Bailly and Telles, United has already released Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe, signaling Ten Hag’s intention to reduce the number of center-backs in the squad. Consequently, the club now seeks to enhance the quality in that position through new signings in the upcoming transfer window.
