In solidarity with ASUU on their two-weeks ultimatum to Federal Government concerning the long strike action, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), proposed a protest on the 26 and 27 of July.
However, The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed declared the protest illegal.
He stated that NLC should be completely desolated from politics. He also said that NLC asking to mobilize people for protest is unlawful.
Lai Mohammed while briefing journalists on the decision of the Federal Executive Council in a meeting in Abuja said that he expected NLC to find a solution rather than go into protest.
