Less than 24 hours after some Twitter users raised an alarm over the kidnap of a woman named Chioma Obire, recent reports has it that she has been released.
Since yesterday after her alleged Abduction along Sapele road, Delta State, Chioma’s phone has been used by those who kidnapped her to send anonymous messages to people on her contact list requesting for 2 million naira.
This time around the phone was used by one of her cousins to notify twitter users that the mother of one has safely returned to her family.

The cousin said the whole kidnap sage was a set up by her friend. He wrote in a lengthy twitter thread:
Good evening sir/ma My cousin sister Chioma has been released by her abductors, it was a set up by her friend, but to God be the glory for keeping her safe & uniting her with us & her innocent daughter again I can’t go into details now because.
We are tensed & under pressure.
She’s traumatized and can’t speak right now till she’s stable and ok to talk.
We are grateful to everyone that reached out to her through every means God bless u all & keep us safe from every unfriendly friend.She look pale & unease, the only word she has altered since is “Where’s my daughter” but God is taking control of it all We the Obire family appreciate all your efforts to bring her back We are grateful to everyone.
