In a recent social media post, a Facebook user identified as John Paul Ugwu shared a controversial perspective on marital arrangements, suggesting that sharing a room with one’s wife signifies confusion in a married man.
He built his thoughts from traditional practices where fathers had separate huts, allowing them personal space and the ability to maintain secrets. Ugwu argued that monogamy hinders men’s ability to keep secrets, which he believes are essential to maintaining a sense of masculinity. According to him, the lack of privacy and secrecy makes men more vulnerable, porous, and weak to their wives.
