1. Change your underwear daily 

Always change your underwear daily. Also wear clean underwear and don’t wear wet or sweaty clothing for too long.

 

2. Change your sanitary pads from time to time 

Wearing sanitary pads for too long can lead to infection. Change the pad at least after 5-6 hours.

 

3. Shower daily 

Don’t forget to take a shower at least twice a day during your menstrual cycle. It will help you stay fresh and clean and will also reduce the risk of infection.

4. Keep the vagina dry and clean 

Always wash your vagina simply with lukewarm water.

 

5. Stay hydrated 

Staying hydrated helps flush out toxins, and bacteria and also helps maintain pH balance.

 

6. Don’t use scented products 

Avoid using scented soaps on your vagina because they can irritate the skin. Also avoid using douche.

 

7. Avoid sugary and spicy foods 

Try reducing your sugar and spicy foods intake as sugar facilitates yeast ability to thrive in the body.
