In a breakfast chat organized by “The 2baba Foundation” in Lagos, Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2baba, revealed on Monday that he constructed a music studio worth millions of Naira at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile-Ife, Osun. He explained that his decision to build the studio was in gratitude for the university’s kind gesture towards him.
During the chat, 2baba mentioned that he was honored to be inducted as a Fellow into the university’s School of Music. He expressed his deep appreciation for this recognition and his commitment to reciprocate it. Promising to construct a state-of-the-art music studio for the school, he fulfilled his pledge.
The purpose behind this endeavor, according to 2baba, is to provide the students with an exceptional creative space. He hopes that the next generation of superstars will emerge from this studio. Furthermore, he mentioned that his upcoming album will be produced and packaged in this very studio.
