Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai said on Monday that it cost about four hundred thousand naira to treat a single Coronavirus patient.
El-Rufai made his claims known in an executive committee meeting of the traditional rulers which was held on Monday September 8, 2020.
According to reports by Channels TV, the meeting was organised as a campaign to avoid the spread of coronavirus pandemic in Kaduna State.
While addressing the traditional rulers on their critical roles in ensuring that the people at the grassroots are sensitised on economic and physical dangers posed by the virus, the governor stressed that it cost about 400,000 naira to treat a patient with the virus in Nigeria.
He also urged them to lead sensitization campaigns on the spread of the virus, and to help people adhere to the government’s directives on safety precautions.
Meanwhile, aside from the traditional rulers, the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, was present as the chairman of the meeting.
