One of the challenges nursing mothers go through is the inability to produce enough breast milk for their babies. This can pose a problem because growing babies need breast milk for better child development.

However, not all babies may show signs of feeding after taking garlic. If this happens, discontinue.

 

3. Carrots

The high fiber and water content in carrots will help you rehydrate and boost your breast milk supply. It is also an excellent source of beta-carotene.

4. Beans

Beans are a good source of protein, folic acid, and vitamin B. It helps to keep nursing mothers full for a longer time.

 

5. Pap

Aside from being one of the healthiest breakfasts, it is rich in carbs, protein, calcium, and potassium.

 

6. Kunu

A staple beverage is peculiar to Northerners. It can be made from millet, rice, sorghum, tiger nut it maize. Kunu is a beverage that comes highly recommended for nursing mothers.

 

7. Brown RiceĀ 

Boosts lactation in moms, rich in fiber content that will nourish your body and give you energy. If you are in Western Nigeria, Ofada rice would do.
