Lionel Messi’s father and agent Jorge has given a clue of how difficult it would be for his son to leave Barcelona.
According to reports from various media sources, Jorge Messi arrived in Spain for an important discussion with Barcelona board concerning his son’s future.
It is no longer news that Lionel Messi no longer consider himself as a Barcelona player, hence his decision to leave Camp Nou. He has not turned up for the club’s Covid-19 test since Sunday and he is yet to join their training sessions.
It is believed that Pep Guadiola’s Manchester City are speeding up the process to sign Messi and it was also reported that Jorge has traveled to Manchester to discuss with the management of the club.
However, when asked by Spanish television programme El Chiringuito as he arrived in Spain on Wednesday morning for talks with President Josep Maria Bartomeu, Jorge said he hasn’t discussed with Pep, and that it would be difficult for his son to move.
