French media outlet L’Equipe, earlier reported that Osimhen could complete an €81 million to move to the Parthenopeans on Thursday.
The move was said to have stalled because his previous agent was ‘trying to negotiate extra bonuses for himself’.
Nonetheless, a number of different sources including Goal, has it that negotiations between Osimhen and Napoli are in the closing stages and he looks all set for a move to the Partenopei.
If that happens, the Nigerian youngster will become the most expensive player in Lille’s history, beating the record of Ivory coast international Nicolas Pepe who was sold to Arsenal for £72 million (€79m).
Osimhen will also earn seven times more money than he currently earns at Lille.
