The Nigerian Football Federation NFF has officially appointed former Porto and Venezuela manager Jose Peseiro as the new head coach of the Super Eagles.
His appointment follows after the sack former manager, Gernot Rohr. Jose Peseiro was recommended by AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho who was allegedly approached for the job, but declined due to his contract with the Italian club.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles interim manager Austin Eguavoen will lead the team to Cameroon, but the Portuguese will be at the AFCON as an observer, according to the NFF.
