Brazilian forward Neymar Jr has sent an emotional message to his former teammate and friend Lionel Messi to congratulate him for winning the Copa America trophy.
Messi won his first ever International trophy with Argentina after they defeated Brazil 1-0 in the final of the 2021 Copa America.

Neymar who featured for Brazil during the game admitted that it hurts to loose in the final, but his friend deserves the trophy.
“Losing hurts me, it pains me… It’s a thing I still need to learn how to live with. Yesterday when I lost, I went to give a hug to the biggest and best player I have ever seen. My friend and brother Leo Messi. I was sad and told him: ‘You beat me, son of a b*tch,'” the Brazilian wrote on his Instagram page.
“I was very sad for having lost. But this guy is awesome! I respect a lot what he has done for football and for me in particular. I hate losing!!! But enjoy your title, football had been preparing this moment for you. Congratulations, brother, son of a b*tch.”
