Spanish newspaper La Razon claims that Real Madrid are keen on Samu and his teammate Pau Torres and they are willing to offer €65m (£57.9m) plus a player in exchange.
Manager Zinedine Zidane allegedly became interested in Samuel Chukwueze after watching the winger come off the bench to win a penalty for Villarreal in their 1-1 draw against his club.
But he will have to ward off fierce competitions from Manchester United and several Premier League clubs including Chelsea, Liverpool, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Everton and Leicester City, to secure his services.

Manchester United consider the 21-year-old Super Eagles star as a possible alternative to Jadon Sancho.
Meanwhile, Samu will not come cheap for any club as Villarreal are said to be reluctant to release him below his full €80m (£71.3m) release clause.
Chukwueze has scored 13 goals and assisted 12 more in 90 appearances (40 starts) for the Yellow Submarine.
