Several supporters of Serie A champions Juventus have slammed Cristiano Ronaldo over his inability to protect the wall during their UEFA Champions League exit match against FC Porto.
In case you missed, Juventus shockingly got eliminated from the Champions League on away goal rule following their 3-2 victory over 10-man FC Porto on Tuesday evening. The Portuguese side came into the game with a 2-1 advantage from the first leg, to earn a well-deserved 4-4 aggregate with the old ladies.

Although, Cristiano Ronaldo did all he could to help his team in the game, but Turin supporters were critical of the 5 times ballon d’Or winner for turning his back on Sergio Oliveira’s match winning free kick in the 115th minute of the extra time.
Oliveira struck the ball low and hard towards Ronaldo’s direction but the forward turned away from the strike while parting his legs in a lazy attempt to block the ball.
Former England coach Fabio Capello referred to Ronaldo’s action as an unforgivable error.
‘That was an unforgivable error,’ Capello told Sky Sport Italia.
Rio Ferdinand, Jamie O’Hara, Robbie Savage and several others also criticised Ronaldo for such error.
“Pirlo will be livid, Ronaldo turned his back completely,” former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder O’Hara said.
“Watch the wall, the wall jumps, it goes through Ronaldo’s legs and turns his back!” Robbie Savage said on commentary.
