When asked to name his three top players of 2021 by Sky Sports, Haaland mentioned Lewandowski as his number one best player, then he described Benzema as amazing and Messi as outstanding, both of them taking the second and third position.

Robert Lewandowski was named as 2021 Best FIFA Men’s player of the year after he missed out on the Ballon d’Or award to Lionel Messi. He also scored a staggering 69 goals in 2021.
